Getting started
The five-minute path: from a backlog to a plan you can share.
Alpha. The hosted playground is opening to a small group. This guide describes the loop you’ll follow once you’re in. Want early access? Join the list.
The idea
Maevu turns a backlog into an honest plan. You bring the work; Maevu helps you order it, schedule it against real capacity, and share the result — explaining every decision on the way.
The five-minute loop
- Sign in. You get your own isolated workspace. Nothing is shared unless you share it.
- Create a project. A project is one backlog and the people who deliver it.
- Bring your work. Export your backlog from Jira as CSV and upload it, or paste items directly. Maevu reads the headline data — summary, labels, dates, estimates — and leaves the noise behind.
- Triage. Group and order the work, bucket it by quarter, and split larger items into phases. This is about getting to signal, not filling in a spreadsheet.
- Plan. Maevu produces a per-developer schedule and a daily calendar, aware of capacity, skills, roles and calendars — and tells you why each item landed where it did.
- Share. Send a read-only board or calendar link to your team or your customer.
What you’ll need
- A backlog export (CSV) or a list to paste.
- Your team and, roughly, who does what. Maevu improves its estimates as it learns.
That’s it. The User manual goes deeper on each step.
