Business Developer (freelance)
Open doors for a privacy-first delivery platform — find design partners, shape go-to-market, and bring in the first customers.
Freelance · remote (EU-friendly hours) · part-time to start
Maevu is early, founder-built and bootstrapped. The product — a privacy-first delivery platform — is coming together; what we need now is someone who can open doors and turn a strong product into a small, happy set of early customers. You won’t be handed a playbook. You’ll help write it.
What you’ll do
- Find and win design partners for the alpha — B2B SaaS teams and software consultancies who feel the pain Maevu solves.
- Build the early pipeline end to end: identify the ideal customers, run discovery calls, qualify, and close the first deals.
- Shape positioning and packaging with real market feedback — including our atypical stance (non-profits and students free; open-core; self-host).
- Open partnerships — agencies, consultancies and delivery shops that could use Maevu or bring it to their own clients.
- Be the loop back to product: what buyers ask for, what they won’t pay for, what makes them nod.
Who you are
- 3+ years in B2B SaaS, dev-tools or delivery-tooling sales / business development.
- Comfortable selling a technical product to technical and delivery-lead buyers — you can hold your own on planning, requirements and tooling.
- A self-starter at home in early-stage ambiguity, happy owning outcomes rather than activity.
- EU market fluency; an existing network in software delivery or consultancy is a big plus.
Nice to have
- Open-source / open-core go-to-market experience.
- Selling into privacy- or compliance-conscious buyers (ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Dutch / French / English — we’re Belgium-based, selling across the EU.
The deal
Freelance, remote, part-time to begin — with room to grow as we do. We’re open to atypical arrangements that match the company: a retainer, performance-based commission, or a stake for the right person. Fit and belief in the mission matter more than a résumé.
